Naomi and Steve Zacks – Thornhill, Canada

June 16, 2015

“Naomi and I were delighted with our Denali/Alaska experience.

From beginning to end you arranged everything for us and did a great job of finding us first-class accommodations at very reasonable prices and to
top that off you selected excellent restaurants that were able to deal with Naomi’s various allergies. Complimente!

Your knowledge and passion for the land and its inhabitants, and your understanding of their various inter-relationships showed up in your selection of routes for exploration. From the very beginning you pointed out the risks of finding wildlife and that luck was your best friend. It seems that  unfortunately, Lady Luck was not always on our side.

Amazingly we spent four plus days with you (Joe) and never had any friction whatsoever, in spite of some very serious conversations. Your sensitivity and appreciation of your clients wishes and quirks made this a truly wonderful and rewarding experience. You always went out of your way to do the best to please us. We could not have asked for more.

We have already recommended you to several people on our follow-up expedition cruise and if we meet anyone who is contemplating exploring Alaska we will happily volunteer TRAVERSE ALASKA and JOE MEYER. Should any prospective clients ask for a referral feel free to call on us!

Many thanks for a wonderful and fulfilling experience in discovering the people and sights of the Alaskan hinterland.”

Client POV on a 4-day Traverse Alaska / Tonglen La Client POV on a 4-day Traverse Alaska / Tonglen Lake Lodge trip package:
Watching the sunset over a glassy Tonglen Lake after an introductory walk in the entrance area of Denali National Park. Tonight the chef served delicious halibut, and we’re going to listen to some music later in the lodge. Tomorrow we’re going on a full day of adventure, hiking and river rafting with our team of private, local guides. After exploring we’ll enjoy the mountain views at Tonglen, and sip wine and tasty appetizers until dinner. The following day we’re going on a bus trip into the national park, and are planning on hiking on our own (thanks to our new skills from our guided hike) and soak up the views of the Alaska Range mountains. Our final day we plan on going for another walk with our private guide, before we get a private ride to Anchorage, for the next portion of our 2-week-long Alaska adventure.
