“My family went on a private tour with Joe. Joe was an amazing guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience with him. We started the day with Joe picking us up and he shared information on Denali. We drove through Denali Highway, which I would highly recommend to anyone traveling here. Joe was extremely knowledgeable about the different mountain ranges, animals, plants, and everything in between. We even spotted a moose and pourcupine! We stopped at a “trail”, which was made by animals and Joe guided us up the mountain, stopping to show us interesting flowers and berries along the way. Joe was able to personalize our hike to our activity level and what we felt comfortable doing. Joe helped us feel at ease about hiking through the “trailless wilderness” and even let us figure out our own way back to the car, giving us some hints along the way if we strayed off course. Overall, I would highly recommend Joe to anyone and everyone who wants to really see Alaska!”

The way humans and wildlife interact together on the landscape. The subsistence lifestyle most Alaskans lead.

My first season was the summer of 2022 and I moved here permanently in February of 2023!
What do you love about guiding?
What I love most about guiding is the mystery. No matter where you explore, there is always something to talk about. Everything has a story and in some way contributes to the story of what’s around it, and I love being a part of that exploration with other curious nature lovers.
What are you most passionate about sharing when it comes to Alaska?
Alaska’s colorful history! From its geological formation to the evolution of the organisms that had to be extra tough to survive.

Q: I’m traveling solo, can I book a private tour for myself?
A: Definitely! We’ve been seeing more solo travelers over the years that want a private, custom trip.
